Climbing Mt. Doom.. er.. Corkscrew Peak 5804'

We started at about 1000' but still took five hours to get to the top and three more to get down. Notice how the sun is already setting.. and we didn't have flashlights. Finding the car would have been a lot harder without my GPS. ^_^

One of them gave me a scare on the way back.. nearly thought he broke his leg, and good luck getting cell phone coverage out here.. but fortunately everything ended up ok.

I only bought two 24 oz water bottles. I rationed one to last the entire trip up, and I had some left over when I got down. Kind of a mistake.. I was so dehydrated afterwords that I felt like I had a fever. I didn't even realize it was because I hadn't drank enough until later in the evening when I had relaxed a bit.

PS: It's just a joke, but with Badwater, you could say that we went to the lowest point in North America to get high. :P
