This was provided during my induction ceremony, but I never submitted it to the media. It is here for informational purposes only. The truth is, people are only inducted into honor societies because their GPA is high enough to be scrapped by a database search. I have always thought less of people who parade their honor society membership like they're something great for being in one. I will never forget how a high school yearbook editor pointed to the NHS page and suggested the caption, "these are the people who will succeed". It has hurt when I have been excluded, and I will not hurt others by excluding them. It just isn't fair, because who you are as a person is never a factor, and I know people who deserve this who won't get it. It's half chance. But it is nice to know that I was in the top 15% of my class - it sure didn't feel like it at the time. There were many sleepless nights. :)
